Goldadors

Loving, devoted, and energetic, Goldador mixed-breed dogs are prized for their good-natured trainability. They make great family members — a natural with kids and social with other pets.

 


The Goldador or Golden Labrador is a designer breed created through the cross of the Golden Retriever and the Labrador Retriever. The Golden Labrador is recognized by the ACHC (American Canine Hybrid Club) and can be registered through IDCR (International Designer Canine Registry) and ICA (International Canine Association, Inc).

 HIGHLIGHTS:

  • active

  • require at least half an hour of daily exercise!

  • like to eat and can easily become overweight if they don't get enough exercise

  • make excellent jogging companions once they are 18-24 months old

  • eager-to-please

  • come from a long line of dogs who work closely & willingly with people

  • excellent choice for first-time owners (provided they get the exercise, structure, and positive reinforcement they crave)

  • good option for families with children (though they can be a bit rambunctious for toddlers)

  • want nothing more than to be part of family activities

  • are good family dogs & generally do well with children of all ages

  • sheds moderately & requires weekly brushing

  • get along well with other dogs and pets (especially when they're raised with them or socialized to them at an early age)
